The Voeltzkow chameleon

(Furcifer voeltzkowi)

The Voeltzkow chameleon was considered lost for more than 100 years until scientists on a rediscovery expedition in April 2018 managed to find some specimens of the brightly colored chameleons. The video linked here, produced by EndangeReX, shows the first color images of the species, including even moving images of the hitherto completely unknown females. Among other things, through an interview with Dr. Frank Glaw, who led the expedition, you will get unique insights into the rediscovery expedition.
